Ian Skelly has built a formidable reputation within the broadcasting industry for nearly two decades as an inspiring broadcast skills coach and instructor offering high quality media training. His last post in the BBC was as Senior Instructor, BBC Training.
Since then he has travelled the length and breadth of Britain and right around the world providing media training for BBC reporters, producers, correspondents and presenters, but he also has worked extensively in the corporate world.
He brings a considerable experience to this role, having worked in many of the corporation's international bureaus, among them Brussels, Rome, Paris and Washington. He has also run courses for national broadcasters in Africa.
Ian is a coach and trainer for the BBC's World Affairs Unit and their Business and Economics Unit and via the BBC's Academy is called upon to offer media training including coaching, feedback and training in programme presentation, live reporting, news reading and other voice work;
package and feature making, writing for radio and television, news interviewing and creative production. 
Ian also provides media training for many rganisations. Recent clients include Eurostar, the UK's Law Society, Nottingham Law School, Newcastle University and Wiltshire Police.
Ian aims to train staff in a fun way, showing them how best to handle a reporter's tough questions and face the cameras when their organisation becomes the story.
